Payette girls fall to No. 5 seed in SRV

Payette—The Payette Pirate girls basketball team hosted the Parma Panthers in its final Snake River Valley Conference home game Thursday and lost 39-36, leaving the Lady Pirates as the No. 5 seed heading into the upcoming 3A Distict III tournament where they will meet up with Parma again.

The Congressional Gold Medal was on board to feel and touch as Janet Komoto, the President of the JACL honored Nisei soldiers of World War II. Jack Ogami (Army MIS) talked about his time served. Ann Nagaki and Susan Inouye, the daughter of Joe Nagaki (Army 100/442), received his Gold Medal posthumously, and Susan talked about their trip and honor they felt when receiving the award in Washington, DC. Photos of the trip with the magnificent seven that made the trip from Oregon were also shown.
